The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
